Pushing java-applet technology to its limits, developed an application to enable users to design their own custom bespoke shelving systems. Users would drag-and-drop shelves, supports, etc., which would lock together and provide a visual preview.
Application used physics and design algorithms to only allow valid configurations. After the user designed their system in the applet, they would then follow through to a piecemeal ordering system employing a CGI backend.
