one of the easiest aspects of transitioning from managing web projects to serving as magazine editor was the management of schedules, tasks, deadlines and people. at xy magazine, i managed the planning of each issue [themes, photo shoots, interviews, coverage], the content [contributors, staff writers, columnists] through to production [layouts, copy editing, photo editing, proofing, printing].
a few examples of features that i managed are below: normal heights [an on-location photo shoot], quality of life comparision [scientific polling, number-crunching and graphing], reader poetry & photos, sourcing topical articles from contributing writers [smoking, drinking & screwing] and organizing more polls and charts for the survival guide.
