for our "raw" issue, i wanted to feature some particularly shocking articles, about the most raw aspects of gay life. i asked simon black, a lovely fellow who used to work in the porn industry when he was younger, to write a tell-all exposé about the ins and outs [ahem!] of pornography.
he shared with me many anecdotes, and also travelled around america, stopping at porn conventions and interviewing a variety of folks in the porn industry. after much discussion, i completely reorganized his piece, accentuating his personal stories, highlighting the shocking "industry insider" thoughts that the public would be most interested in, and generally making it more readable.
