Having used iPods/iPhones for 7 years, I have a few wishes, mostly music-related:

1) Ability to queue a text message while on the subway, and have it automatically send when I get reception again. Most other phones do this. I suspect this is a side effect of the iPhone being developed in Silicon Valley.

2) Less iTunes password prompts when installing/upgrading iOS apps. Why must I re-enter my iTunes password to upgrade my free Facebook app from v4.01 to v4.02? Who cares? I want to sacrifice security paranoia for ease-of-use.

3) More consistent updating of Smart Playlists on iOS devices. For example, I have a “5 Star” Smart Playlist. If I re-rate a song in that playlist to 4 stars, sometimes it stays in the playlist, sometimes it doesn’t.

4) Bigger buttons to rate music on iPod player. Currently takes several taps requiring timing (waiting for animations) and tap precision (rating buttons are small).

5) Dedicated buttons to jump ahead/back 30 seconds in a track. My fat fingers can rarely grab & scrub the playhead accurately.
