- born: 15 march 1977 in indiana, where i lived [mainly] until i was 18.
- studied computer science at caltech in pasadena california.
- lived in san francisco for two years, making millions off the dot-com explosion before sneaking off to london uk, where i lived for four years.
- currently live in los angeles, but if you asked me where i’m from, i’d probably try to convince you that london is my home.
- i served as editorial director at xy magazine, and am starting my own queer youth magazine called Qr.
- i have a day job, and, no i can’t tell you anything about it. sorry. really.
- i’m single, cute and romantic, and have been looking for a husband since the age of 17.

- i’ve lived in three countries: brandenburg germany when i was 15, london uk now and previously in 1998, and all over the usa.
- i’ve attended 10 depeche mode concerts, and am the biggest fan you’ll ever meet. i am a music aficionado, and enjoy all musical genres. i attend concerts and go dancing as much as possible. i constantly listen to music, and even have a stereo in my shower.
- i’ve visited 13 countries, and have been on approximately 100 plane flights—my only hobby is travel, which i do with a passion.
- i’ve had my heart broken twice.

- i have a tattoo exactly matching the site’s blue star logo. on my body. somewhere.
- the favorites icon for the site is a 16×16 graphic of my bleach blond hair.
- the playlist comes from a winamp plugin called blogamp. i use php to reformat the javascript file it produces.
- the camblog photos are pulled from a separate phone blog site, saved locally, cropped and shown at left. the photos come from my panasonic x70 phone which produces much crappier photos than its predicessor, the gd87.
- i use del.icio.us as my social bookmarking tool to update the linkhserf links at left.
- the imagery i use to start off each post comes from personal and found photos, which are cropped to 400×200 and put through a photoshop action which reproduces the rich contrast of the lomo camera.

- i love mixing and producing music. i’ve put together a few compilations and produced a few singles, under the pseudonym jonny moirée
- i can’t cook to save my life, and often set off the smoke alarm when cooking frozen pizzas or boiling water for pasta.
- i’m not religious but do believe in god. i was raised roman catholic and don’t mind participating in the rituals, but would much prefer attending a new age wedding reception or a lively gospel service.
- i was that dork in school who had perfect attendence and straight-a’s and was valedictorian and won the science fairs but never went to parties or went on dates or really enjoyed himself. making up for lost time now?
- the closest thing i have to an idol is richard branson. i look up to my mom, of course. she’s a hero for raising my two siblings and me by herself, working double-shifts so that i could go to one of the most expensive schools in america.
- travel writing, particularly books discussing the philosophy of travel inspires me. i adore gay fiction. i love classical texts. i love bitter saracastic texts. i love david sedaris, alain de botton, dave eggers, kurt vonnegut, translations of plato, armistead maupin.
